Image: vogue.com.auWhen I got home from work today I squealed with joy when I found a package waiting for me--the long wait for my Sass & Bide Black Rats had finally come to an end! And I can surely say they are everything I hoped they would be: I am one hundred percent all over these, absolutely love them. They look amazing with everything a pair of black skinny jeans would look great with, especially my new vintage navy oversized blazer =]
Which reminds me, the next thing on my to-buy list is a digital camera... and a back-up pair of the Black Rats?

wow i am on the waiting list for a pair of black rats!! what are they like in the flesh?? are they very shiny because i dont mind a sheen but i dont want a leather look or high plastic looking shine to them. Iv noticed they've sometimes been described as wet look. would you wear them with flats ever or is it strictly heels? and do they make you feel covered enough like your're wearing a pair of jeans. with normal leggings im always very conscious of covering up the top a bit.

Hi Joanna, the black rats are great in real life.. they're not leathery because the fabric is quite thin, and they do have a bit of a sheen (not plastic shine) which I think makes them more night appropriate... altho, I think they could work in the day with flats and a long loose top (probably better with flat sandals than flat winter shoes tho). They are quite thin so I always wear tops/jackets that cover my bum when I wear them. I would love to post pics but theres been a delay on my camera order so as soon as it comes in I will have pics up!
